'Praise is Rising' is a song we will be singing at our 9 am service on Sunday. I already feel the Spirit of God beginning to rise up within me as I anticipate singing it. Sunday is coming and I'm excited at the prospect of what we will be experiencing of God's presence in our midst as we gather at 9 and 11 am.
Our 9 am service will have the celebration of the sacrament of baptism as we give thanks to our promise making/promise keeping God for Kylie Rose, infant daughter of Cody and Hillary Jamieson.
At our 11 am service we will worship God with the music ministry of mezzo soprano, Christy Derksen, who will be singing i) The Lord's Prayer ii) His Eye is on the Sparrow and iii) O Rest in the Lord.
I will be speaking at both services on the Triune God's most gracious invitation to us to come join the community of people who find their center and life in the community of love revealed to us in Father, Son, and Holy Spirit - one God revealed in Three Persons. The Trinity gives us a greater and more compelling understanding and experience of what it means to be 'church' than we typically receive from the institutional/organizational versions of our day.
Whether it be the 9 or 11 or both services you gather with others this Sunday to worship the Living God know this: The Lord will be in our midst and God is mighty to touch and transform your life.
Join with your family in Christ to live the Trinity this Sunday.
