Luke 2: 15, 16 tells us that the shepherds after hearing the message of the angel and the song of the heavenly host in the sky made haste to go to Bethlehem to see the great thing that had come to pass. This past Sunday morning at Knox we had Lucas Matter followed by Jacob and Cody Jamieson as shepherds make their way around the sanctuary from the fields to the stable to see God's promise of good news of great joy for all people of a Saviour, Jesus Christ, Emmanuel - God with us.
Our children whether as a cow or a sheep, an angel or wise man, a donkey or an Innkeeper, playing on the piano or singing a solo, helped us all see once again with wonder and awe what a great God we have. We laughed because as with any Christmas pageant there were lots of amusing moments. We worshipped because our children with faith we can learn from moved us into a larger sense of God's presence in our midst - God's commitment to us to be God with us in Jesus Christ.
Thank you to our children! You are an extraordinary gift of God to us in our Knox family.
Thank you to Lisa Proctor for coordinating, to Liz Moruzi who produced, to the many parents who assisted, and to all of you who came out not only to support but to praise God. Thank you to Hillary Jamieson and the Praise Team and to Paul Thorlakson and the Choir for helping us lift our voices in praise to God. It was a wonderful morning! We are a truly blest church family! All honour to God!!
