This past Saturday evening we had 30+ Knox folks on the corner of Church and Mill singing out the fun songs and the Christian carols of Christmas. Between 7:15 and 8:00 pm a steady procession of caroling groups from the community joined us in song. Our singing filled the air of the neighbourhood and left, I believe, a strong and positive impression on all who heard us. As I walked home Saturday evening around 8:30 pm I had a family stop me on Main St. and tell me how much they had appreciated walking by our church corner and hearing the Christmas sounds.
Thank you to eveyone who joined in and made this wonderful night possible. It was the first Waterdown Candlelight and Choral Walk. With well over 200 people walking the route I'm certain it will be back next year and larger still.
Here's a link to a video I've found both entertaining and challenging as I move through the month of December to Christmas Day. It's called the Anti-Santy Ranty.
Remember that our choir will be presenting "A Blest Messiah Born" this Sunday at the 11 am service. I hope you have or will be inviting people to join you as we celebrate in song God's most wonderful Christmas gift of a Saviour, who is the Messiah, the Lord. (Luke 2:11)
